BRIGHT TECHNOLOGIES ’ NEW BRIGHTDRIVES EMBRACED NEAR AND FAR
Las Vegas, NV April 17, 2012 -- Bright Technologies, Inc., www.4bright.com developer of advanced technology for shared media environments, has announced three sales of its new BrightDrive Procyon to facilities in far-flung corners of the globe. The server, making its debut trade show appearance at NAB 2012 in Bright’s Booth SL 8410, has already been embraced by German and American post-production facilities, and a Film Institute in Malaysia.
CinePostproduction Group Germany, one of the first post-production facilities in Germany that utilized SAN technologies for the post production workflow and a long-time Bright customer, has upgraded from a BrightDrive G1 to a BrightDrive Procyon. The BrightDrive Procyon, serving as the heart of the facility’s post-production workflow, provides the high-availability it needs to manage their 4 workspaces with 400TB storage.
Another repeat customer, a major post-production facility located in Los Angeles, also upgraded from a G1 to a Procyon. This cutting-edge post-production studio has the distinction of being the first US company to purchase the new server.
And in far away Malaysia, the Malaysia Film Institute, Filem Negara, has taken possession of the very first Procyon to leave the production line.
